Over $20,000 Raised at the WGIRLS Bay Area’s 1st Annual Bachelor and Bachelorette Auction!

The WGIRLS Bay Area hosted its first annual WGIRLS Bay Area Bachelor/Bachelorette Charity Auction on June 3rd. The fundraising event was a wild success, raising $20,000.00 through ticket sales, auction bids, raffle tickets, and donations! The Charity Auction was an occasion to meet and mingle with philanthropically-minded individuals in the Bay Area, watch the absolutely fantastic bachelors and bachelorettes strut their stuff in a live auction (and bid!), and of course- eat, drink, and dance—all in support of a great cause!

The money raised at the WGIRLS Auction goes towards our beneficiary charity,  Oasis for Girls. Oasis for Girls (a project of the Tides Center) is a center for girls and young women that aims to fulfill the life cycle of a girl from middle school, through high school and slightly beyond – through interdisciplinary programming that builds on each step of the way through a girl's development. Oasis for Girls’ funds will benefit girls in the form of college scholarships, leadership programs, education/professional development and mentor building projects. The $20,000.00 raised by WGIRLS Auction will put FIFTY girls through the Oasis for Girls program, thus making a huge difference in the lives of those young girls!
