Hope for the Holidays Event Raises $6,500 for Kids Matter Inc!

The WGIRLS Milwaukee partnered with Kids Matter Inc to host their annual Hope for the Holidays event. The event, held at MOCT in Milwaukee, was a huge success and over $6,500 was raised through fundraising efforts and the generosity of individual donors and sponsor businesses.

With the funds raised at Hope for the Holidays, the WGIRLS Milwaukee hosted a gift giving party for the children of Kids Matter Inc. A total of 57 children and their families attended the party at the Hilton Hotel in Milwaukee and the WGIRLS Milwaukee personally bought and wrapped over 175 Christmas presents to fulfill all the children's holiday needs and wishes. There were plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy, including making ornaments, decorating Christmas cards, playing instruments and singing Christmas carols. A visit from Santa to give each child their presents was the highlight of the event. WGIRLS Milwaukee was also able to present Kids Matter Inc with a check for $1,000.
