MILWAUKEE (Oct. 31, 2011) -- Celebrate the season of giving and brighten the lives of the local children on Thursday, Dec. 1 at the 3rd Annual Hope for the Holidays. The 2011 annual auction is presented by WGIRLS Milwaukee at Best Place at the historic Pabst Brewery. All proceeds benefit The Family Life Center holiday gift program which helps to fulfill the holiday needs and grants wishes for local children and teens.

The Family Life Center was founded in 1993 and has been committed to promoting healthy family life for the families in the Milwaukee area. The Family Life Center provides a nurturing, supportive, non-threatening environment for growth, empowers families to advocate for themselves and become resources for others, and collaborates with available community resources. They serve approximately 50 families a month, up to 150 children with their clothing and food bank, and have over 1,000 people participating in one of their workshops in a year.

This year’s event begins at 7 p.m. with one hour of complimentary Pabst Blue Ribbon and Schlitz beer courtesy of Best Place. Guests can bid on auction items, or try their chance at the raffle to win prize packages from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Guests can also support a child at The Family Life Center by purchasing holiday presents through the giving tree program.
