Helen Keller International

Founded in 1915, Helen Keller International (HKI) is among the oldest international nonprofit organizations devoted to fighting and treating preventable blindness and malnutrition.  HKI provides expertise, training, and technical assistance to establish nutrition and eye health programs in partnership with host countries. HKI began ChildSight, its domestic initiative, as a pilot program in New York City in 1994. The program brings free vision services and free eyeglasses to children living in poverty in the United States

In June 2008, the WGIRLS NYC hosted their 2nd annual Love at First Sight Bachelor and Bachelorette Auction whose proceeds were donated to the Helen Keller International ChildSight program.
