American Cancer Society Hope Lodge

The Hope Lodge offers cancer patients and their families a free, temporary place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment may be in another city. The Hope Lodge provides a nurturing, home-like environment where patients and caregivers can retreat to private rooms or connect with others who are going through many of the same experiences. The WGIRLS NYC has an ongoing partnership with the Hope Lodge and regularly hosts events providing food, entertainment and activities to the Hope Lodge guests while they receive cancer treatment from NYC area hospitals. In August 2008, the WGIRLS NYC hosted a happy hour whose proceeds were used to fund those events.
